"Thank you so much for all the school supplies you gave, because we really couldn't afford to buy them ourselves.
Earning a living here is extremely difficult. We keep going anyway for the children's future. So that when they finish their studies, they can find peaceful work, not like us, where every day we are under the hot sun, doing all kinds of hard jobs."
Mother of Students at Gaas School 2006
Judy Ann Bangcal walks 2 hours to get to school and takes care of 4 other younger children who travel with her. She prepares food for them each morning and evening. She wants to finish her education so she go into criminology one day.
"The school supplies helped us a lot, because we use it every day." - Judy Ann
